Mobile house call service: Windsor

The below prices apply if you are within the bounds of Windsor proper, Tecumseh, St. Clair Beach, Puce, and Belle River. I will travel outside of these areas for a surcharge.

Nail trims ONLY

  • start at $40 for the first cat; $10 for each additional cat.

  • I try to group multiple nail trim clients in order to minimize travel expenses. If you have a neighbour or 2 who also needs this service, this helps me in scheduling your nail trim sooner.

  • Nail trims are included (free) in all other services

Nail caps (“soft paws”)

  • does your feline friend scratch up your furniture? I can apply nail caps. $50 for the front paws; $60 for all 4. I have a nice selection of nail caps. These last up to 6 weeks and MUST be removed at that point. If you combine this with our standard groom the price is $20 for the front paws and $30 for all 4.

Standard groom—our speciality

A standard groom every 4-8 weeks helps prevent matting, furballs, excessive shedding, ingrown toenails (ouch!), cling-ons (yuck), and ear and eye problems. Our standard groom includes the following:

  • nail trim

  • bath

  • ear and eye cleaning

  • blow dry

  • comb-out to remove excess hair and minor tangles

  • sanitary trim for long-haired or full-figured kitties

Prices:

  • shorthaired cat grooms: start at $60

  • long-haired cat grooms: start at $75

  • extra full-figured cat grooms (18lbs+): start at $85

These prices are for cats with minimal tangling or matting. Cats with significant matting will incur further charges.

Paw pad trim

If your cat is tracking litter everywhere we can lightly trim the hair growing between the paw pads and around the foot. $10 when added to a standard groom.

Belly trim

If your cat is prone to matting on its belly and armpits, we can shave that. $8 as an add-on to a standard groom.

Lion cut

Some clients like a lion cut to reduce shedding and matting. This trim is close to the skin, leaving a moderate mane, hair below the front elbows and rear hock bone, and either a full tail or pom-pom style. This trim is not suitable for senior cats (ie 10 years or older) , very thin cats, or cats with heart or stress-related issues. (Those are best dealt with under sedation with a veterinarian). Add to standard groom for $25, assuming the cat is not matted. Matted cats will incur extra charges on a case-by-case basis. Severely matted or pelted cats will incur a charge of $200, which includes a free follow-up standard groom within 6-8 weeks.

Comb cut

A comb cut (or teddy bear cut) is an alternative to a lion cut, where the hair is left longer (between 1/2 to 3/4 inch). This cut may only be done at my location (Parent and Erie), as it requires too much equipment for me to carry around. Comb cuts cannot be done on matted cats. Add this to standard groom for $15.
